EPIGENETICS CONFERENCES

Shop our comprehensive epigenetics conference listings. If epigenetics will be discussed, we’ll have it listed here. Check back often as we post reviews on the conferences we and our friends attend so you can be clued into the overall experience: speakers, location, location, location, food, beer, even coffee.

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Emerging Topics in Epigenetics Seminar-11.20.08

EpiGenie’s first of a series of seminars was a ton of fun with 80+ researchers gathering in the country club style setting at the Estancia Hotel to listen to local research superstars, Drs. Anrea Smallwood (UCSD-Ludwig) and Louise Laurent (UCSD-Scripps) present data highlighting the roles of various epigenetic mechanisms in stem cell regulation.

The night was capped off with appetizers, open bar, and great conversation but sadly not a single upside-down margarita shot was taken. We’re looking forward to hosting our next event in February so keep your ears open for the announcements and if you’re not on our Newsletter List, Sign Up so you don’t miss it!

Update from AACR Epigenetics Meeting-5.31.08

The Park Plaza Hotel in Boston held the Oscars for Epigenetics researchers this week with 50+ great talks from big names like Peter Laird, Susan Clark Peter Jones, Jean-Pierre Issa, Stephen Baylin and more. The vast majority of the presentations were focused on DNA Methylation with some chromatin related data worked in as well. Read about some of the action..

miRNA Update of Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference-3.28.08

Our snowboards were waxed, packed and we were ready for a weeklong blizzard of the latest novel findings in the non-coding RNA field at the Keyston Non-Coding RNA Symposium, so we were really bummed when our flights to Whistler were cancelled due to dense fog in America’s Finest City.

Then we remembered there was a day of miRNA talks at the Cancer Molecular Markers section of the Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference in San Francisco. A few quick internet maneuvers later and we were on our way up to the City. Check out some of some of the meeting's miRNA highlights.
