The ENCODE (Encyclopedia of DNA Elements) Consortium is an international collaboration of research groups funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). The goal of ENCODE is to build a comprehensive parts list of functional elements in the human genome, including elements that act at the protein and RNA levels, and regulatory elements that control cells and circumstances in which a gene is active.
The ENCODE 2016: Research Applications and Users Meeting at the Li Ka Shing Center at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA sponsored by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) will take place June 8-10, 2016. The meeting will feature hands-on workshops and tutorials to navigate ENCODE data and integrate it into your research, as well as invited talks on research applications and short talks selected from abstracts.
