The fields of reproduction and epigenetics are inextricably linked. The 2015 meeting of the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR) will feature the most extensive gathering to date of reproductive biologists and world renowned epigeneticists. An in depth knowledge of epigenetic programming in the germ line and during development is essential to a complete understanding of the fundamental mechanisms implicated in transgenerational transmission of epigenetic effects and developmental origins of health and disease (DOHAD), as well as the effects of environmental exposures (diet, toxicants, behavior) and non-genetic modes of inheritance.
We invite you to attend the 48th annual meeting of the SSR to be held June 18-22, 2015 in beautiful and historic San Juan, Puerto Rico, where the intersection of reproduction and epigenetics will be highlighted in three consecutive afternoon sessions. Morning sessions will include outstanding keynote speakers whose talks will address the overall meeting theme of “The Evolution of Sex.” In the evenings social gatherings will offer the opportunity to meet up with old friends, network and form new collaborative relationships. Opportunities for presentation of short talks and posters require abstract submission by January 30, 2015. We look forward to welcoming you to the 2015 SSR meeting in Puerto Rico!
