Epigenetic regulation of neuronal gene expression and chromatin structure play an important role in normal brain function. Studies continue to highlight the significance of epigenetic regulation in neuronal development, neuronal plasticity, memory, neurological disease and aging. These findings have paved way for new insights into the cellular and molecular mechanisms of the nervous system.
This meeting aims to bring together experts exploring various aspects of neuroepigenetics including histone modification in cellular reprograming and neurological diseases, DNA modifications in development, plasticity, cognition and brain disorders and how they could influence the development of future therapies.
To be held immediately before Society for Neuroscience 2014 in Arlington, VA.
