The NimbleGen Human DNA Methylation 2.1M Deluxe Promoter Array enables rapid and precise identification of methylated DNA regions across all biologically significant regulatory elements including gene and microRNA promoters as well as all 27,891 annotated CpG islands with 100bp proble spacing throughout all tiled regions. Tiling of each gene promoter (∼29,500 total) begins 7.25kb upstream of the transcription start site and extends downstream 3.25kb for a total of 10.5kb of promoter coverage per gene. Each miRNA promoter (474 total) is tiled from the mature miRNA sequence to 15kb upstream. This array also tiles through various positive, negative and non-CpG control regions, as well as biologically significant ENCODE regions, to facilitate assessment of experimental performance.
