Active Motif’s new Low Cell ChIP-Seq Kit offers a complete ChIP-Seq workflow using as few as 1,000 to 50,000 cells per chromatin preparation. This surpasses the limitations of traditional ChIP-Seq protocols which often require more than 100,000 cells for sample preparation. With Low Cell ChIP-Seq, limited sample material, difficult to culture cell lines and small tissue biopsies are no longer obstacles. The optimized protocol minimizes sample loss throughout the process.
Blocking agents are included to improve signal-to-noise ratios for better peak calling and lower background, thereby ensuring reliable detection of both transcription factor and histone modification targets. Each kit includes Active Motif’s highly sensitive Next Gen DNA Library Kit to prepare Illumina-compatible libraries using as little as 10 pg of ChIP DNA. Molecular identifiers (MIDs) can be used to remove PCR duplicates and increase the number of unique alignments.
